......And Sun

I don't know why I even vaguely worried about the gardens.  I went out this afternoon and inspected the covered beds.  In truth the only effect of the snow seems to be more growth.  The peas are on 2nd and 3rd leaves now.  I'll probably have to put the trellis on the bed sometime next week.  I'm looking forward to that harvest.

In addition, almost all of my mints are popping up.  The herbs are doing just fine.  This is my Corsican Mint.  It's the hardest one for me to grow.  And that's definitely not a good picture as it is very green and happy right now.  (I need more practice with the camera.)  I'm just happy that it has chosen not to die in the past two years.  I'd be thrilled if I could get it to grow bigger!  Right now it is about the same size it was when I originally bought it.  So maybe it will expand this year.

The rosemary bush is blooming for the first time in my memory.  It seems to be very happy in it's current spot and is busy becoming as large as some of the landscape bushes.  The wonderful scent lingers on my hands and arms just from brushing up against it.

Two clumps of Spring Beauty have popped up so I know that spring is truly here despite all claims to the contrary.  And despite the cold and chill, the sun is shining brightly.  I'm looking forward to more Spring joys over the next few weeks.  I found the pie pumpkin seeds I was looking for.  And another bed is now planted with pinto beans, rutabagas and pickling cucumbers.  I have hopes for a good harvest this year.
